Weak US dollar means big jump in Panama gasoline prices

10/21/2010 By Panama Eric

The weakening US dollar has helped push the  price of gasoline up for the fourth time in two months.

A gallon of 95 octane gasoline will increase by 13 cents and that of 91 octane by 11 cents beginning Saturday, Oct. 23.

The price of a gallon of diesel will climb 6 cents

The new prices will stay in place until Nov. 5.
The maximum price at the pumps in Panama City should be: $3.27 for 95 octane, $3.06 for 91 octane, and $2.86 for diesel.
The last time gas passed the $3 mark, prices in stores and restaurants started to climb.
