2,200 evacuated in Panama after heavy rains

  (Newsroom Panama) Over 900  people have been moved to temporary shelters in Chiriqui while work is done to release a large volume of water in a reservoir,  formed following the collapse of two hills. 911 service to start in Chiriquí

(Prensa.com) Emergency management 911 service has started offering coverage in the province of Chiriquí. Six ambulances with life support capability, which cost a total of almost $500,000, were delivered Wednesday in a ceremony in David attended by Minister of Government Roxana Méndez. 911 Expanding Service to Chiriqui

(PanamaDigest) Panama’s 911 emergency system will expand its operations to the province of Chiriqui at a cost of $2.4 million in March. The expansion includes hiring 55 new paramedics and purchasing at least five more ambulances.
