Panama and Costa Rica Joined In Electrical Power Transmission Line

03/03/2011 By Panama Eric

(Inside Costa Rica) Panama and Costa Rica plan to get closer, joining at the hip if you will, with the creation of the “ring fo frienship”, an electrical power transmission line.

The plan is to share electrical power, connecting the community of Cahuita in Costa Rica and Changuinola in Panama, with the objective of benefiting the rest of Central America with the connection.

The construction is in the hands of the the private Panamanian company ETESA and should be online later this year.
