Residents of the province of Colón can expect between two and three days more of rainfall, according to the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC), which issued an alert level for the area.

Jaime Ospina, regional director of the entity, informed that SINAPROC staff continue to advise residents living near rivers and streams, to be vigilant.

The rains in Colón have left four families homeless thus far.  This, in addition to two landslides and flooding, mainly in the town of Cativá.

Ospina reported that SINAPROC is coordinating with the Office of the First Lady in order to provide support to the families who have lost their belongings.
