Boquete is blooming with start of Festival of Flowers and Coffee

01/14/2011 By Panama Eric

(Midario.com) The season of fairs and festivals of 2011 begins today with the opening of the XXXIX version of the Festival of Flowers and Coffee, in the cool and fertile lands of Boquete.  There, foreign and domestic promises to enchant all visitors who arrive at this place, with its many exhibitions and curious crafts, combined with the richness of the landscape. This event, which starts from tonight and runs until Sunday 23 once again offers entertainment and fun, but mostly culture and values, because this is the first goal it has set the new board of trustees, chaired by Elisha Miranda, who expects more than 130 thousand people.

A DIFFERENT SHOW
Miranda said that on arrival he wanted to turn around the business and for this project focused on the beauty of flowers, working with professional landscapers who have integrated new concepts through a vertical projection and the use of organic elements, giving and inviting a different nuance.  He acknowledged that the land already have been small, which led them to slice up the pavilions and adjacent land and rent, which represents costs about 12 thousand dollars, and were enabled to install the rides, which this year increased.
Exhibitors
Miranda confirmed that they will again bring together exhibitors from all over the world, including Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Cuba, Peru, Colombia, Panama and others.  He also explained that new strategies have been studying, so that the weekday shows are attractive to captivate more people and thus to raise the ticket at the box office.

ATTRACTIONS
The laborious hands of those working the beautiful gardens choose the best of the best in terms of seeds, year after year take on different varieties, which are brought from Canada, USA, France and elsewhere.  At the fairgrounds you can get affordable craft, there are also plants for sale, candy and some promotions
